Genealogists.com is seeking experienced full- and part-time researchers. For the most part, these are contract, work-at-home positions. Some staff positions are also available. Genealogists and Researchers:
The backbone of our firm is our team of Genealogists and Researchers. The two roles are rather similar. The major difference is that Lead Genealogists are exceptional Researchers who have previously established themselves as a leader in the industry for their specific location or specialty.
You will receive numerous requests for research. Each request will include the objectives, budget, and timeframe.
Pay for these positions is usually based on the project, but may be a fixed weekly rate if steady, long-term work is desired. Both positions can be done from anywhere that has high-speed Internet access.
Key Responsibilities:
- Successfully accomplish the objectives in assigned research projects, including delivering on-time and per budget or clearly explain why objectives could not be met
- Leverages both the information that can be found online as well as the records that are only available offline
- Works with assigned Project Managers to quickly and accurately obtain results from other researchers and archives in the network
