Simply submit the electronic files of your sales catalogue to Trace and the text for each lot will be automatically searched and reports manually reviewed by a trained art historian. Unique serial/IMEI number matches and those text matches where we also have a matching image on our available databases will be reported to you by email, post or fax. A username and password will be provided to Trace Professional clients for ad hoc searches using the online Trace Search service.

TRACE PREMIUM — Full service support for high end & specialist auctioneers & dealers
Trace automatically searches catalogs at the most convenient juncture for the auctioneer in the catalogue process, using sophisticated visual and text matching technology. A trained art historian manually reviews the results and prepares a report in all cases. The report will include image matches (identified using unique visual matching technology), unique serial/IMEI number matches and text matches, where we have a matching image on the available databases. The report will be sent to the relevant contact by email, post or fax.
Our art historians are available for telephone support and, when needed to provide a referral to an independent recovery agency. A username and password will be provided to the Trace Premium clients for ad hoc searches using the online Trace Search service.
Trace Premium offers:
- Volume searching using sophisticated text and visual matching technology
- Manual review of search results
- Report for every sale
